Analysis and Simulation of Magnetic Field Modelling of Guidance Systems in Interventional Therapy

Conventional diagnosis of acute pulmonary embolism is expensive. The current diagnostic instruments are difficult to move the guide head and can easily scratch human tissue. A new guidance system is proposed to keep the traction force stable between the electromagnetic guidance instrument and the guidance head. The guidance system was simulated using the finite element method to identify factors that make the traction strength of the guidance system stable. A mathematical model of the guidance system was established, too. A magnet with multiple turns of current-carrying coils was chosen as the guiding part of the guidance system for the external magnetic field drive, and a cylindrical magnet was also used for the guided part. MATLAB was used to simulate this spatial magnetic field model. The magnetic induction curves in the z-direction of the drive device and the force curves of the driven part were obtained. The analysis of the simulation results shows that the number of turns of the electromagnetic coil in the guide section, the strength of the current through the coil, and the length and radius of the magnet influence the traction strength and stability of the system.
