Editorial Message From the Editor-in-Chief

This October issue features two sets of articles: the Special Issue on Smart Electromagnetic Environment and Regular papers. This Special Issue is motivated by the exponential growth of mobile data traffic and the associated challenging requirements for wireless infrastructures to guarantee unprecedented link performance levels while minimizing the complexity, the power consumption, and the costs of the communication architecture.
