A Temperature Simulation Model of Battery Thermal Management System Based on Distributed Parameters

The temperature change of the battery system has great hysteresis and nonlinearity. To predict the temperature field of the battery in real time, this paper proposes a three-dimensional multi-node thermal model, which consists of two parts: a multinode heat transfer model based on battery geometry and a finite element simulation to obtain thermal resistance parameters. Comparing the simulation results of this model in battery cells and battery packs with finite element simulation shows that the simulation error is no greater than 1°C, and the calculation time is reduced from two hours to less than 0.1s.
