Multi-period maintenance equipment investment optimization of railway freight train wheels

The transformation of the maintenance mode of railway freight trains prompts maintenance companies to upgrade the existing maintenance equipment. In order to avoid the huge risks associated with fixed asset investment, it is of great significance to steadily promote the upgrading of maintenance equipment. In this paper, the mixed-integer linear programming model is used to minimize the investment cost of the enterprise, and the maintenance equipment is purchased in batches and steps. Based on the reliability function, the failure information of parts is transformed into maintenance demand, and the sensitivity analysis is carried out on parameters of maintenance demands and equipment market prices. Finally, based on the case of a maintenance enterprise, the equipment purchasing strategy in different periods is formulated.
