Research on Delay Cost Calculate Method in Commercial Aircraft Trade-off Study

Operation cost has always been the target parameter for commercial aircraft design scheme trade-off, and in the operation cost, in addition to the fuel cost, the most important is the flight delay cost. So providing a set of calculation method of delay cost is of greater practical significance for commercial aircraft design scheme trade-off .This paper first introduce the basic concept of flight delay cost and summarizes the delay cost data of European air traffic control agency. Then the paper provides the scenarios of normal flight operation, and constructs the delay cost calculation method from the design parameters such as equipment failure rate, flight time, maintenance time, MMEL item and so on. Finally, this method is applied to the scheme design of a hydraulic oil filling system for one certain type, and more accurate delay cost data are obtained through calculation, which together with fuel cost, it can support the scheme trade-off process.
