STEAM in the transversal competences of Engineering

This article presents how the transversal engineering competence is articulated in a harmonic way with the STEAM methodology. The objective was to be able to identify the degree of usability of the engineering computational tools in the student. Methodology, the research was of a mixed type, using a documentary analysis in relation to software resources involved in transversal engineering skills, and from their academic, work, and personal activities, what is the resource they frequent. Results, as evidence of the investigation, the importance of the use of software tools to strengthen the development of activities requested from the transversal engineering skills supported with the STEAM methodology from the skills of Knowing, Doing and Being are evident. Conclusions, It highlights how the students of the engineering faculty are inclined to use cloud services to fulfill their academic, work and personal activities.
