Abstract:
According to the State of IoT - Spring 2022 report, in 2021 there were 12.2 billion connected devices in the world. This number is expected to grow to 27 billion by 2025. Considering that any existing device could become an IoT device, from smartphones, computers, smart TVs and watches to refrigerators, including also cars, satellites, airplanes and factories, there is a huge amount of data collected and generated in this context. The IoT value and services are expected to be €5-11 trillion by 2030 globally. However, what do we know about how this data should be handled? Who can access it? How should it be shared and with whom? Do any restrictions or limitations even exist?
