An Enhanced Ikeda System by Modifying Nonlinear Function

By adding a superimposed arctangent function term into the sine function, an enhanced Ikeda time delay system is proposed in this paper. Not only is the stability condition of the improved system analyzed theoretically, but also the stability and chaos characteristics of the system are studied from the aspects of solution response, phase diagram, Lyapunov exponent and bifurcation diagram. Computer simulation show that the system has richer dynamic behaviors and wider range of chaotic parameters, which can be used to design cryptosystems.
