Kaplan-Meier Survival Estimator Analysis of Patient Data

Survival analysis is required to understand the amount of risk factor in a disease, that is, to understand the proportional estimation of recovery and death. In statistics, survival analysis is a concept where the probabilistic time span of an event is analyzed until another event happens in recovery and death issues in the medical world. It is used to enlighten some points like the number of people that will survive a specific amount of time, the rate of their deaths, etc. To analyze ‘time-to-event’ data, the Kaplan-Meier (KM) method is used. In KM study, the result sometimes involves all-cause mortality. One of the best options to use to calculate the fraction of subjects living for a certain amount of time after treatment is the Kaplan-Meier calculation.
