NiTiO3 Perovskite Nanoparticles for Highly Durable Hydrogen and Oxygen Evolution in Water Splitting

Recently, Perovskite type oxides have become an alternative as an effective electrocatalyst in water splitting systems. Here a perovskite structure of NiTiO
3
was synthesized by a low-cost sol-gel method. The NiTiO
3
coated electrodes enhance Hydrogen and Oxygen evolution rate (HER and OER) in water splitting in comparison to Ni(OH)2 electrocatalyst. The NiTiO
3
perovskite act as a bifunctional electrocatalyst for highly durable Hydrogen and Oxygen evolution.
