Investigation of Kidney Stone Detection using Image Processing

Image processing techniques have recently been popular in a variety of medical fields for image enhancement during the early phases of detection and treatment. Image processing-based kidney stone detection method is used to classify and report the presence of stone in kidney. Detecting a kidney stone in a human body is a difficult task; if incorrectly detected, it can lead to death, and some people with stone development in the kidney at the early stage do not see it as an infection, and it gradually harms the organ. There are various imaging methods to detect kidney diseases, they are: CT imaging, X-rays, and ultrasound imaging. MATLAB is used in this project to examine the kidney region and identify the kidney stone. Both image analysis and image quality enhancement depend on low-pre-processing approaches used during the improvement stage.
