Secure and Supportable Application for Visually Challenged Person

The technical developments have constantly been focused for betterment of human beings. Its technician's culmination of logic and societal approach when they are working for the any form of impairments in the person. The author has tried to work for the visually challenged persons. The application is an assistant for visually impaired ones' where the interpretation of a scene through webcam is narrated to make them feel to be connected with the real world. The world has visually weakened people in large amount those who are unable to experience the real world as we can. The challenges faced by blind people are dependency, insecurity, quality of life, impact on economy due to less or almost no productivity, etc. The technical developments in assistive applications for visually challenged persons not reached up to the mark and faces still real time and quick assistance to needy ones. As a proof-of-concept, this study is demonstrated with a Graphical User Interface for person and object recognition with voice assistance using laptop's web camera, OpenCV platform, python language for coding, etc. The purpose of this project is to provide assistive technology to help the visually impaired to emerge from any potentially catastrophic situation as other citizens can. The proposed system and its use in disaster situations is a new, less expensive solution that addresses the needs of visually impaired people.
