The Law of Secondary Electron Multiplication of Aluminum under Different Frequency Microwaves

In this paper, the discharge phenomena of aluminum materials under the action of strong electromagnetic waves are investigated. The electron multiplication phenomenon of aluminum surface under different amplitude of microwave at 1GHz-300GHz was calculated using 1D3V simulation framework. It shows that the easiest discharge interval of aluminum is about 0.05MV/m-8.5MV/m at 1GHz and about 20MV/m-1700MV/m at 300GHz, and the easiest discharge interval increases with the frequency and follows nearly a linear power law.
