Research on Shelf Antennas for UAV Application

In the design of ordinary unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems, in order to save costs, the antennas mostly use shelf products sold by Taobao merchants. In response to this phenomenon, this paper studies the consistency of shelf antennas, the characteristics of antenna’s connectors and coaxial cables, as well as the performance of typical printed circuit board (PCB) antennas, flexible printed circuit (FPC) antennas, and copper tube antennas, and compares the antenna characteristics for different mounting materials.
