An Integrated Assessment of the Low-Carbon Transition in the Power Industry of Russia until 2050 under Accelerating Electricity Consumption Growth

The study is focused on investigating low-carbon transition scenarios of the Russian electric power industry, with special outlook on the replacement of traditional energy carriers with electricity in heat supply and transport. The correlation between the greenhouse gas emissions reduction in the electric power industry, necessary investments, revenue required and electricity prices with an accelerated growth in electricity consumption due to large-scale electrification has been studied.
