Numerical Study of the Effect of the Rehabilitation Process on Segregated Concrete Beams' Behaviour

The danger of segregation in beams is influenced by the proportion of element sizes, the quality of the concrete mixture, and the method used to cast the concrete. As a result of segregation, the coarse aggregate density at the bottom of the beams will vary, and the concrete strength will be uneven along the beam. External strengthening is gaining popularity due to its practicability, low cost, and lack of structural modification requirements. Numerous scientists utilize CFRP sheets due to their usefulness. In this paper, we will explore the dynamics of a separated RC beam using a numerical technique. For this objective, a total of nine beams were modeled in Abacus 2017: one in control, four with segregation at various places without strengthening, and three with no segregation whatsoever. The sheets of CFRB were attached to the undersides of four separate beams. Beams that had been divided using CFRB sheets demonstrated greater bending and shear resistance than beams that had not been rehabilitated.
