The Investigation of Carrier Aggregation in LTE Advanced System using Systematic Literature Review Approach

At present, LTE Advanced technology has been implemented in many countries and offers the best data communication services to provide satisfaction for cellular communication users, although 5G technology has been introduced as a better alternative for data speed. The increasing number of users and the need for digital services from various applications make bandwidth optimization challenging for telecommunications operators. The Carrier Aggregation technique is a solution proposed in this study to overcome this problem. Therefore, a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was employed in this study to examine previous research on network parameters, methods, and findings. Identifying a Research Question (RQ) and searching for relevant materials in central journal databases such as IEEE Xplore, Science Direct, and Springerlink from 2017 to 2021 was investigated. From the results of research journals that have been reviewed, it is known that the main parameters often used in research include using 2 carrier components, the duplex FDD method, at 2100 MHz frequency with 20 MHz of bandwidth.
