Design and Development of CAMPLI Device Control and Supervision (Internet of Things Based Chilli Cultivation System)

The quantity and quality of chili plants often decline, which causes a significant increase in prices. This decrease was caused by climatic changes and the limited land available. Thus, it is necessary to implement the CAMPLI device, which is a vertical farming technology based on the Internet of Things, to replace conventional farming systems. However, this CAMPLI device requires more maintenance because the crops are grown upwards on dense agricultural land. Hence, this research is expected to be able to develop Android-based applications that can control and monitor CAMPLI devices. The application design in this research applies the Goal-Directed Design method, and the application development uses the Flutter framework by applying the Scrum method. The functionality of the application was tested using the Black Box Testing method with successful results for all functions that are executed. Usability testing is generated from the calculation of the Post-Study System Usability Questionnaire (PSSUQ), which uses a 7-point Likert scale by testing the application on 13 respondents. The results of usability testing of the overall average score are 6.02, which means that the attitude of the respondents towards the application is in agreement, so it can be concluded that the developed application is feasible to use.
