The Observability, Chaos Engineering, and Remediation for Cloud‐Native Reliability

This chapter explains the significance of observability, chaos engineering, and remediation to ensure the reliability of cloud‐native systems. The on‐demand and elastic nature of cloud infrastructures have enabled the much‐needed cloud application scalability. Observability helps to understand the property of a system or an application. The Cloud‐Native Applications (CNA) architecture has garnered the attention of IT professionals as it has the influence, suppleness, versatility, and robustness to surmount the common bottlenecks of monolithic applications. CNAs are famous for their native resiliency, agility, operability, and observability. The container density is bound to go up considerably in any IT environment. The solidity of Kubernetes is seen as the trend‐setting phenomenon for the cloud‐native paradigm to start and shine. Experienced people strongly pitch for systematic and chaos testing of cloud systems to achieve cloud resilience.
