Finite Element Analysis of Flange System Compactness

The tightness of the flange connection system is difficult to measure by experiment, and through the finite element simulation method coupled with the JB4732 rule [1], it is easy to determine the sealing of the flange system. This paper takes the DNIOO, PN63 necked butt welded pipe flange system that uses the hydraulic stretching method to complete the fastening work as the research object. Taking the residual force of the bolt measured by the pressure sensor after the hydraulic tensioning method is completed as the pre-tightening force, using the ANSYS Workbench finite element analysis software, According to JB4732, the strength of the flange, the bolt and the sealing performance of the gasket after the hydraulic tension tightening test are evaluated, and the results show that the sealing performance of the flange system is good.
