Experimental research on disturbance waveform characteristics of secondary side signal port of electronic voltage transformer under the operation of GIS isolating switch (CICED2022)

The electronic voltage transformer (EVT), which has been widely used in smart substations, exposes serious electromagnetic compatibility problems under the operation of the isolation switch, among which the fault of the collector is the most prominent. In order to analyze the reasons for the failure of the collector, this paper simulates and reproduces the IEC 62271-102-2018 busbar (pipe) section test circuit with very short opening and closing on the 220kV GIS real simulation test platform. And more than 200 times of isolation switch pull test and port disturbance waveform measurement were carried out for 5 EVTs. The applicability and difference between the measured waveform and IEC related standards were quantitatively evaluated from the perspective of waveform characteristic parameters, waveform correlation and normalized energy characteristics. The research results show that only the maximum amplitude and intensity of the measured disturbance waveform are higher than the IEC61000-4-18 fast damped oscillatory wave assessment requirements, and the rest of the characteristics have good similarity and equivalence with the standard waveform. The work done in this paper can provide the basis for the port protection and test assessment of EVT acquisition unit under strong transient electromagnetic disturbance.
