Influence of charging load of Electric Vehicles on three-phase imbalance of distribution network

A large number of household Electric Vehicles (EVs) are randomly connected to the distribution network using single-phase wiring, which will aggravate the existing three-phase imbalance of the power system. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the impact of the load of EVs on the three-phase imbalance of the distribution network in different scenarios. Firstly, analyze the trip characteristics of EVs. Then, the charging load curve is modeled and obtained. At last, IΕΕΕ 33 node test system is taken for the simulation calculation. The results show that the same number of EVs, with different proportion of access phase and with different access site, will have different effects on the three-phase imbalance. And also, scattered distribution of EV charging loads can reduce the three-phase imbalanced rate.
