Impedance Analysis of PMSG Considering Influence of Machine Side Dynamics

With the continuous improvement of the installed proportion of the permanent magnet synchronous generators(PMSG), the phenomenon of oscillation caused by PMSG wind farms occurs frequently. The impedance modeling to analyze the dynamic characteristics of PMSG need to be studied as the basis of stability analysis. This paper presents an impedance modeling of PMSG under synchronous reference (dq) frame considering the dynamic characteristics of DC machine Side. Then the effect of factors on impedance characteristics are analyzed. Finally, the impedance scanning is carried out in Matlab, and the validity of the impedance modeling proposed in this paper get verified.
