Frequency Resilience Evaluation Method for Multi-HVDC Feed-in Power Grid

In order to assess the frequency recovery capability of AC / DC hybrid power grid after fault accurately and quantitatively, the frequency resilience of receiving-end power grid with multi-HVDC feed-in is proposed in this paper. Firstly, simulation is carried out for different HVDC blocking faults, and the frequency variation curves after grid faults are obtained. Then, the area of the zone between the actual frequency change curve and the ideal curve during primary frequency regulation, which is defined as the index of power grid frequency resilience, is calculated. This index not only can quantitative evaluate frequency resilience, but also can be the metrics of the frequency stability improvement. In the end, the actual power grid simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
