Determination Key Indicator in Transformer Oil by Infrared Equipment

Furfural is one of the most important characteristic products during aging process in current-operation transformer oil. It is more accuracy and convenient in determination of furfural content to reflect real-time status of current-operation transformer oil. In this paper, simulation software was used to confirm feasibility of furfural determination by infrared equipment. After discussion on data obtained by theoretical calculation and experiment, final formula of linear regression between furfural concentration and intensity of characteristic peak was obtained which can be used as a convenient path to determine of furfural in transformer oil.
