Quasi-Optical Resonator of the Extremely High Frequency Range for Power Summation

The paper proposes a scheme that allows one to study the processes of powers summation in a hemispherical open resonator using a single source (Gunn diode). The main element of the circuit is the E-tee waveguide. The analysis of losses introduced by individual elements of the circuit has been carried out. is excited in the resonator with the help of two slot coupling elements. Experimental research was carried out in the short-wavelength part of the millimeter range. It was found that the powers summation coefficient of the two sources in an open resonator using slot coupling elements did not exceed 72% over the entire tuning range of the resonator.
