Delivery Team Management on Small Software Development Projects in Practice

Purpose of this paper is to evaluate methods used in management of delivery team in 9 years of practice of a small size software company in Slovakia. First it focuses on summarizing difficulties that arise in this setup and traditional well-known approach on how to overcome it using waterfall or agile methodology approach. Main goal is to emphasize differences between theory and real-world scenarios where no existing methodology fits the criteria for small software project management. Key metrics this paper will focus on is delivery team performance on projects and satisfaction with work on projects. Performance is evaluated based on the historical project data from the company while satisfaction data are derived from the regular employee questionnaire.
