Multiplatform Support for uDAQ28/LT Thermo-Optical Plant

The paper presents new possibilities how to implement uDAQ28/LT thermo-optical plant in basic control courses independent of the operating system used. To achieve this, it was necessary to create methods that ensure seamless communication with the physical device on the Linux platform instead of generally used Windows based drivers and new software tools. The designed Linux based library with new control functions employs various methods and thus gives the whole system the ability to be implemented even in complex control structures in MATLAB/Simulink environment. To demonstrate the functionality of the proposed solution, a simple simulation scheme with a new abstract block representing the system was created.
