System Modelling of a Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell and its Comparison at Extreme Loads

PEM fuel cells are generating electrical power by combining atoms of hydrogen and oxygen. Only products created from this process are water and heat. The most promising use of PEM fuel cells is source of power in electric vehicles. The aim of this work is to build and then simulate model of a typical PEM fuel cell in MATLAB environment specifically in Simulink and its extension Simscape which contains library for work with PEM fuel cells. The second aim of this work is to compare the obtained electric voltage and electric current with the results of CFD simulations from previous works.
