2-D Scattering and Absorption of E-polarized Plane Wave by a Circular Dielectric Wire with Partial Graphene Cover

We analyze how the total scattering cross-section (TSCS) and absorption cross-section (ACS) of an E-polarized plane wave from circular dielectric rod is modified by conformal infinite graphene strip of arbitrary angular width and chemical potential of graphene. In the core of our treatment, there is a dual series equation where the unknown is the Fourier harmonicas. We solve this equation using the Fourier-expansion method. This guarantees the convergence of the obtained results. We present the normalized TSCS and ACS versus the angular width of graphene strip and the frequency in wide range from 0 to 5 THz.
