International Standards in Information Security Disciplines

The article focuses on the review of the standards in the sphere of information security due to the great importance of the question itself, as well as the necessity to teach it and implement the key aspects into the educational process. The authors have analyzed and ranked the most spread standards to compare the functionality and provide a clear description of their content. The research compares components of international standards in the sphere of information security providing evidences that the certifications and professional approaches to the international perspective of a specialists' training in information security should have focused on the international standards as they contain verified, high-quality solutions and methodologies, and also ensure mutual compatibility of hardware and software systems and their components. The authors highlight the common and distinct features of various standards due to the tendency for adaptation of the existing standards to the purposes of different countries and long difficult search of a relevant standard in the huge amount of information.
