Creating a Luneburg Lens with a Variable Pitch 3D Printer

A Luneburg lens antenna is made of a dielectric material - PLA plastic, which has a permittivity value of 3.1 at frequencies in the 10GHz range. A model of a lens antenna made on a 3D printer with a change in the dielectric constant by increasing or decreasing the print density is proposed. The proposed design reduces the weight of Luneburg lens antennas. A model of a lens antenna made using a 3D printer is presented. The results of an effect of changes in the print density on the value of the permittivity of the sample are presented. It is noted that when the print density changes, the level permittivity of sample is changes. Samples with different print pitches can be used to create a multilayer Luneburg lens. In Table 1, we have shown the range of change in the dielectric constant of plastic for a frequency of 10 GHz.
