Road Accident Prediction Using Xgboost

Injuries from traffic accidents are one of the leading causes of death. This necessitates an examination of road accidents and the elements that influence them, as well as the development of a way to lessen the likelihood of them occurring. We have developed a road accident prediction system to minimize the number of accidents. The severity of the accident is forecasted using a machine learning model and variables such as day, weather, road type, etc., are entered as input using our web application. After analyzing numerous novel machine learning techniques like - Random Forest, Support vector machine, Stochastic gradient descent, and Artificial Neural Network, the model Xgboost is implemented. The system has more than 80% accuracy and has been integrated into a web application, making it more user-friendly and accessible.
