Recent Advances and Perspectives in Line-Wave Electromagnetics

Line waves are recently discovered wave objects that can propagate along suit-ably designed planar impedance discontinuities, and can effectively channel the electromagnetic power along one-dimensional tracks. Here, we review some results from recent and ongoing studies in this emerging field, with special emphasis on leakage and coupling effects.
