Effect of Losses in the THz Sensing Performance of All-Dielectric Metasurfaces Supporting Quasi-BIC Resonances

We study the effect of losses on the resonances of an all-dielectric metasurface with ideally high quality factor resonances in the THz frequency range, considering realistic mate-rials. We also study separately the effect of the losses in the different elements of the structure (substrate and resonators) and how making the substrate thinner changes the quality of the resonance.
