Sensing Pad for Pressure Distribution Mapping

Here is presented an interactive sensing pad for pressure distribution mapping in wide surface area. The main task of the work is to prototype a concept of a sensing pad for continuous pressure distribution detection over a wide surface. Further, the sensing pad could be integrated in an IoT communication system. The main concept of the work is pressure sensing over two applicable technologies and an estimation in order to find the optimal solution based on design efficiency, complexity, cost, and durability criteria. Also, the main limitations of the two discussed pressure sensing technologies are demonstrated. Realized at the current stage prototypes of sensing pad design elements are shown.
