Research on starting a group of induction motors of multi-motor electric drives

The sequence conditions for starting a group of induction motors are investigated. An algorithm and a computer program have been developed for numerical analysis of 1M's dynamic modes and static characteristics based on differential equations of electromechanical equilibrium written in d-q axes. On their basis, the dependences of electromagnetic torque of each motor on both slip and applied voltage, used for microprocessor control of the starting process and self-starting of a group of 1M, have been calculated.
