Bandwidth research based on OFDM-IM system

Modern communication systems often use the technique of orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) to convey large amounts of data over a wide bandwidth. This effectively entails transmitting data in parallel over multiple frequency subchannels, which do not interfere with one another. It is possible to encode information purely in the combination of subchannels that are active at any given time. This process is known as index modulation (IM). I will develop a simple mathematical model for such systems, and I will use MATLAB to study their rate and bandwidth. This project develops an OFDM and OFDM-IM model to analyze the spectrum and time domain of signals, and analyze the rate and bandwidth of OFDM-IM system. This project mainly improves the performance of OFDM to a certain extent, and evaluates the bit error rate of the models.
