Low Carbon Dispatching Method of Power Systems based on Two-stage Optimization

In this paper, a low carbon dispatching method of power systems based on two-stage optimization was proposed. At the day-ahead stage, based on the forecast of load and the new energy output interval, a problem of day-ahead unit combination optimization for low carbon was formed by considering the positive and negative rotating backup, secondary frequency modulation and the unit utilization hour constraint, thus realizing the optimal combination and allocation of the unit start-stop mode, output plan and the regulation of the backup capacity. At the intra-day stage, based on the forecast of intra-day short-term load and new energy output interval, an optimization model with the aim of correcting deviation and minimizing carbon emission was established by taking the unit output or adjustable load as the correction means and comprehensively considering the demand of frequency modulation and reserve capacity, which can meet the balance between supply and demand of the systems and realize the optimization of intra-day auxiliary services and the effective disposal of power supply bottlenecks. In the end, the effectiveness of this method was verified by the test results of an embodiment.
