A systematic investigation on Geometric Transformation

Geometric Transformation refers to the process of registering a digitized image using control points and equations or process of map onto a coordinate system. Three major components of Geometric Transformation are spatial transformation, image interpolation and anti-aliasing. Spatial transformation is of different types which may include mappings of affine, perspective as well as transformations of polynomial and piecewise. Geometric Transformation is commonly applicable for many fields which include image registration especially for medical field, remote sensing and changing video resolution.
