Comparative Analysis of gait patterns in Hip Surgery Patients and Normal Subjects

Hip surgeries for fractures are performed to move the broken bones and fix it in the right place. The gait patterns of the patients are altered after the surgery, but as they recover, the gait patterns belongs normal. Currently the recovery of gait is tracked visually. But there are certain factors that cannot be seen visually. Thus, a quantified method is a necessity to track recovery so that the right rehabilitation can be given to the patient at the right time. Analyzing gait parameters serves the purpose. This comparative study focuses on the gait patterns of intertrochanteric fracture patients and normal subjects so that a comparative analysis can be done on how much the patients are deviated from the normal gait and track their improvement over a period of time.
