Control System for High-voltage Electrochemical Explosion

A study of high-voltage pulse discharge in an exothermic compound as a control object was made. It was revealed the major influence of electrical energy input pattern on the efficiency of exothermic energy conversion inside discharge channel. The rules for finding the initial conditions of the control algorithm were proposed. The significant stochasticity of processes during explosive combustion of exothermic mixtures was shown. The need for current control of energy input into the discharge channel in the process of exothermic transformations was substantiated. The control helps to prevent the situation when due to the stochasticity of the process the pressure in the discharge channel falls below the permissible threshold, which allows the exothermic reaction of explosive combustion. The correlation analysis of relationship between electrodynamic and hydrodynamic characteristics was done and hence the information coordinates were defined. The algorithm for controlling a high-voltage pulse discharge in an exothermic compound has been developed. This algorithm ensures the flow of the exothermic reaction in a self-sustaining mode until the complete combustion of the exothermic mixture, which leads to reduction of non-productive losses of chemical and electrical energy at each implementation of a high-voltage impulse discharge.
