An Efficient Systolic Transformation FIR filter for Digital Systems

FIR filters play an important role in digital systems. The FIR filter construction with optimum operating conditions is more important primary issues in (VLSI) real-time processing. These filters consist of a large number of ALU’s. The multiplication logic circuits in FIR filter wastes a lot of electricity. Power, area, and latency are the three most significant aspects of VLSI. This study analyzes several fixed point FIR filter designs and examines many performance metrics such as area, hardware implementation, and latency. The usual technique, systolic architecture, associativity conversion, and a mix of systolic and associativity designs are all taken into account. Using the above-mentioned architectures, we implemented 4, 8, and 16 tap filters and compared their performance requirements.
