Plant Disease Identification Using Plant Images

Agriculture is the backbone of any country as it provides with the necessary food to eat for the people of the country. Especially in country like India where the greatest number of people are dependent on agriculture not only for food but also for source of income. But when this source gets stricken by disease then that creates a major problem for both the producers and the consumers as it is a necessity for human life. Plant diseases can impact the quality and quantity of the crop produce majorly affecting the consumers’ health and the producers’ income. This can be avoided by identifying the disease and applying the correct medicine on it. But for doing so one requires a great knowledge of plant diseases and their respective medicines, which is not generally available to the farmers. So, to solve that problem an easy-to-use smart system is build which can be easily accessed by the farmers on their smartphones. The farmers can simply click the pic of the plants which they believe to be diseased and can know the disease and the medicine required to cure it. This simple, language-friendly approach can substantially aid farmers in preserving the quality and quantity of their crop yield
