Effect of Substrate Waves on Antireflection Performance of Metasurfaces

Reduced reflection by surfaces is realizable with subwavelength gratings. However, transmitted waves underneath the surfaces will directly affect the response and must be accounted for. Here, we model antireflection based on substrate waves grounded in lattice diffraction.
