Analysis of Electromagnetic Wave Propagation Characteristics Based on Plasma Turbulence

On the basis of the standard
$k - 8$
turbulence model, a propagation model of electromagnetic wave in plasma turbulence is established. The expression of dielectric coefficient of
$k - 8$
plasma turbulence model is derived from Saha equation of gas ionization and refractive index of plasma. The reflection and transmission coefficients of electromagnetic wave under different turbulent parameters and gas temperature are calculated by using a transmission matrix method, and the propagation characteristics of electromagnetic wave in plasma turbulence are analyzed. Results show that when the number of plasma turbulence increases or the turbulence size increases, the reflection coefficient and transmission coefficient of electromagnetic wave increase in a low frequency range. Conversely, the increase of the outer scale of turbulence will lead to the increase of the reflection coefficient and the decrease of the transmission coefficient. These results provide theoretical basis for studying electromagnetic wave propagation in plasma turbulence.
