A Filtering Dipole Antenna with Reconfigurable Frequency and Bandwidth

A filtering dipole antenna is designed in this paper. Two symmetric inverted L microstrip lines form a dipole structure, and the parasitic microstrip line and the loaded open circuit branch introduce two radiation zeros, which make the antenna produce filtering response. The frequency and bandwidth can be reconstructed by controlling the radiation zero of the filtering dipole antenna with variable capacitance. The center frequency of the antenna can be shifted from 2. 3 GHz to 2.6 GHz, and the working bandwidth can be expanded from 200 MHz to 600 MHz, which can maintain good filtering performance during antenna reconstruction.
