Research on SOC Estimation Method of Power Battery based on WOA-BP Neural Network

Whether the State of Charge of electric vehicle power battery can be accurately estimated is one of the important indicators to measure the safety of electric vehicles. According to the internal dynamic characteristics of lithium-ion battery, a SOC estimation method using Whale Algorithm Optimization BP neural network method was designed. After analyzing the influencing factors of power battery SOC, voltage, current and temperature are selected as inputs to estimate the battery SOC. The algorithm after the whale algorithm optimizes BP neural network solves the problems of slow convergence and easy to fall into local optimization when using a single algorithm. The estimation error of WOA-BP algorithm is controlled within 1.2 %.
