The mechanical properties and surface morphology of axillary crutches

To study the surface morphology and mechanical properties the side of bows of domestic axillary crutches in rehabilitation aids marketed. Methods According to the experimental principle of GB/T 19545.2 and ISO 11334-4-1999, the static mechanical properties of three axillary crutches were detected by automation mechanical loading platform, the surface morphology of side bows of axillary crutches was observed by scanning electron microscope. Results There is no significant differences in the surface microcracks of the three samples. Sample B and C have cracks and permanent deformation on the side of the bows, while sample A has no cracks and deformation. Surface microcracks of axillary crutches have little effect on static mechanical properties. Using the automatic mechanical loading platform to do static loading experiments, the force loading position of the axillary crutches is in line with the actual application, and the experimental results are more intuitive. □
