Microprocessor-Based Device for Monitoring the Insulation Resistance of DC Systems

The principle of operation of the developed micro-processor device for monitoring the insulation resistance of a DC system of the “UKI-MP01” type is described. This principle is to measure the values of the mains voltage and leakage current when the measuring circuit is alternately periodically connected to the poles of the network. The relationship between the input signals of the device and the value of the insulation resistance of the poles of the system relative to the “ground” is established, which underlies the proposed algorithm for the operation of the device. The device based on optokeys and a microcontroller operating according to the proposed algorithm makes it possible to automate the measurement process. As a result of testing and operating experience of the insulation control device of the “UKI-MP01” type in industrial conditions, the compliance of its main technical characteristics with the requirements of the industry standard was confirmed.
